This content was provided by Dr. Lamar "Dr. Daniel Lamar is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine. He also has special interest in total joint replacement, cartilage rejuvenation, pediatric injuries and arthroscopy. Dr. Lamar is firmly rooted within both the professional and amateur athletic communities in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. He is the Medical Director for the Gatorade Sports Science Institute. Dr. Lamar serves as the sports medicine physician and orthopedic consultant for the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, U.S. Soccer, IMG Academy and Premier Sports Campus. He is also an Assistant Medical Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Lamar was an elite athlete himself, playing football for Davidson College as a receiver, kickoff and punt returner. In his free time, Dr. Lamar volunteers his medical expertise as the sideline physician for many Manatee and Sarasota county high schools.. He also enjoys outdoor activities and exercise such as biking, swimming and competitive athletics."

I am now 4 1/2months after my hip replacement. I just got my first pair of shoes with a 1”lift built on the bottom to compensate for the 1” leg discrepancy. This shoe , however, has not relieved me of pain. I do not play tennis anymore or take walks. My life is changed! Dr. Lamar, doesn’t know...more

As a physician, Dr. Lamar was the first person I thought of when my 5 year old daughter hurt her shoulder. He diagnosed a clavicle fracture that 2 urgent care doctors and radiologists had missed. He and his staff were fantastic with her. She felt very comfortable and is now back to causing havoc...more

Hi. I should have posted this review several years ago. My older son tore his labrum playing football on the high school team. Dr. Lamar did an excellent job for the surgery for my son, he had to have several anchors put in to fix his labrum. We did all the physical therapy and son finished out...more

Physician - I have no complaints about him. THe billing dept is horrendous, charged me way over my copay. they have received reimbursement from. my ins. Now they tell me they don't know how much they will refund (or if they will refund). IF they do it will be a month or 2 before they...more
