I made my appointment with Dr. Farrell because I was having knee pain. He ordered x-ray, which showed my knee having bone on bone, on left knee. He suggested a injection of Zilretta. This is a non-opioid extended release treatment. I will require knee replacement in the future, but this has sure eliminated 95% of my knee pain-for now! I would recommend trying this before surgery.

dr Farrell listens and explains what he saw on xray very well. He also listened to me when I explained what he could not see on xray. His manner and obvious concern are apparent. His willingness to listen to and hear and respond to the patient is impressive, esp in this day and age when doctors tend to be hard to reach and harder to really talk to. I was at ease and able to trust that I would be treated as an individual rather than just an xray. Thx doc!

Dr. Farrell took time to explain what was happening to my bones as a result of probably malabsorption of vitamins as a result of the by-pass surgery. I purchased the Wheat Belly book he recommended in order to see if a change in my diet can help with the inflammation in my joints thus helping the pain.
