Having had a number of orthopaedic surgeries (mostly due to my doing something stupid) I can honestly state that Dr. Burchfield is very probably technically superior to any other surgeon of my experience. The fact that he has a PhD in physiology in addition to his extensive experience in surgery helps a lot, but he is the most proficient practitioner I have ever encountered.

Run do not walk away- he is terrible and almost caused me to have permanent damage from his hip replacement. I found a good Dr. who diagnosed me with an infection and has taken great care of me. Dr. Burchfield should retire. Plus he has no personality and no real concern for his patients

I have had both shoulders were calm and trigger finger repaired by Dr. Burchfield. As always been an excellent experience both at the office and doing surgery.

0 STARS ! This doctor ruined my life shoulder and arm are useless first he gave me a cortisone shot & exercises later learned exercises that should never be done if you have a tear he gives theses to everyone as what you have to do first before insurance will do anything else ! I heard others having to have their surgery done over I should have paid attention HE only does author-gram but I insisted on a MRI that showed a tear, he did NOT repair the tear! only did impingement surgery.

I would not recommend Dr Burchfield to anyone. I broke my leg in two places and pointed out that something did not look right the wound was oozing. This ended up to be a very bad infection and took almost a year to heal. In addition I caught MRSA from the open wound.

I think Dr Burchfield is a great doc! I tore up my knee snow skiing March of '16. The ACL was gone, with damage to the MCL and meniscus too. He fixed the knee and I'm good to go. I won't say it hasn't been a long slow road to recovery, but it IS as good as before and that was to be expected. I still get little pains occasionally but I consider it healed and realize that nerves take years to return to normal, if ever. He's a really nice, down-to-earth guy too. Highly recommend!
