Care Philosophy

I am a highly specialized laparoscopic surgeon at Rockwood Valley Surgical Specialists. Most of my practice is treating surgical problems of the abdomen using laparoscopic and other minimally invasive techniques. I treat colon disease (such as Diverticulitis) and colon cancer using specific laparoscopic techniques that result in very quick recoveries and very low infection and complication rates. I remove gallbladders laparoscopically and have an unsurpassed record of success at minimally invasive approaches to gallbladder disease. I am one of the few surgeons in the greater Spokane area that repairs inguinal hernias laparoscopically. I am proud of the way I treat umbilical hernias as well, and can do these using the natural scar present at the umbilicus to avoid any unsightly scar tissue. Many patients with umbilical hernias have no visible scar at all after surgery. These minimally invasive approaches give patients the quickest and least painful recovery.Read more
