This content was provided by Dr. McClain "A native of Pittsburgh, Damon McClain, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. After medical school, he entered the U.S. Navy, where he spent 12 years of service as a physician serving our nation's leaders, military personnel, and their dependents in a variety of locations, both in the United States and abroad. This included the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, aboard the naval vessel USS Oak Hill in Norfolk, VA, and under the Surgeon General at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, DC. Dr. McClain returned to Walter Reed for his Dermatology residency, which included training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Johns Hopkins University. After completing his residency, he spent three years as a staff Dermatologist at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. Dr. McClain was an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and has published in multiple medical journals. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. McClain is skilled in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He left the Navy after being selected for the rank of Commander to join Dr. Ira Cohen, a long time friend and mentor, in August of 2015."
