Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Horne "My primary goal as your surgeon is to provide you the highest quality of neurosurgical care with compassion, understanding, and sensitivity to your individual situation. I have always approached my patients through the mirror lens of what I would want for my family or myself in any given situation. Early on in my life, I learned the "Golden Rule" and it is by this important life value that I treat my patients.  I recognize that my patients are often coming to me in desperation…often in pain or having just received a diagnosis foreign to them.  My focus is to help you navigate a path to feeling better. On a regular basis, I attend conferences and courses to be able to deliver the most up-to-date treatments and technology available. To be a neurosurgeon is a privilege which I humbly respect and I am most appreciative to my patients and their families who put their trust in me and allow me the honor of treating them to improve or resolve their neurosurgical issue."

Dr. Horne and his staff were excellent to work with. They helped me get things scheduled and they worked hard to move up my schedule to help get me back to work. Dr. Horne did a great job informing me of what my problem was before surgery and after surgery he was very professional and clear...Read More

Back surgery is a scary thing. My first meeting with Dr. Horne, I expected the usual "I can help you and everything is OK". To my surprise, Dr. Horne had actually reviewed the x-rays, MRI, and history prior to my visit, and proceeded to go into detail with me and my wife as to what the actual...Read More

Dr. Horne did extensive lumbar surgery on me three years ago. This time he helped me avoid surgery by recommending injections and PT. I return to work in a week because of this. Dr. Horne listened to me and took all the time I needed to answer our questions and explain what was happening. Dr....Read More

Honestly, the first time I met Dr. Horne I was a bit disappointed in his 'bedside manner.' He wasn't very friendly and was maybe even a bit sour, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and went back to see him again. I'm very glad I did! Not only did the surgery Dr, Horne performed on my back...Read More
