    Nature of Complaint: Location of evenet: Marquette, MI. Single vessel Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery was performed. Heart was heavily encased in fat. Single vessel bypass of Internal Mammary Artery was performed to Anterior Vein instead of Left Anterior Descending Artery. Heart was heavily encased in fat making isolation of artery difficult and vein was misidentified as artery. Patient left hospital without incident but returned with Angina prompting re-catheterization and identification of error. Patient was treated with coronary stent without incident. The case was settled and dismissed.
