Dr. Asbury's Care Philosophy

At Atlantic General Dermatology, our board-certified dermatologists provide comprehensive care, from diagnosis and treatment to long-term management of chronic skin conditions. You can be confident knowing we offer the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Dr. Asbury says...

  • Total Skin Checks – A full body skin exam through dermoscopy, in which the dermatologist closely examines skin lesions that would otherwise not be visible to the naked eye. It is a good idea to schedule a total skin check annually.
  • Biopsy of Suspicious Lesions/Growths – A sample portion of a lesion or growth will be removed, whether through an incision, excision, aspiration or shave biopsy, for removal purposes or to determine appropriate treatment.
  • Removal of Skin Cancers – Various topical medications and surgical techniques can be used to remove skin cancer.
  • Narrow Band UVB Phototherapy – Can be used to treat certain skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and vitiligo. We are excited to have begun offering this treatment.
  • Removal of Actinic Keratosis (pre-cancerous growths) – Topical medications, cryotherapy, and blue light therapy can be used to treat these lesions, which are caused by prolonged exposure to the sun, before they become cancerous.
