I went to Dr. Kovitz after not getting any answers with my Hematologist of several years. I was so impressed with his care, compassion and desire to figure out what was wrong. He immediately began to investigate and did everything he could to diagnose and treat my condition. His staff at MDAnderson is superior and took care of everything for me. They retrieved records which kept me from repeating painful tests. Dr. Kovitz did find out what was wrong and is now treating me successfully.

With Dr. Kovitz, you're not just another patient, you're HIS patient and he actually cares about you. This doctor has called my home several times, personally, to be sure my husband was ok after starting his oral chemo. He could have had his staff do this, but he, personally, took the time out of his busy schedule to call us. He explains everything in detail and answers all questions. He is a one of a kind. Excellent physician.

His staff in The Woodlands are rude and very mean to patients. It was so hurtful to hear how the staff treated people. They have signs in the reception about no fowl odors but his very staff runs around at lunch with plates of food and my mother had a nurse throw her plate on a counter because she needed to get her vitals. It was absolutely disrespectful environment and if the Dr wanted it differently, he could make it happen. Those people are a reflection of the DR.
