First consultation with Dr Ackerman was such a much needed source of information. I wish I had taken my cousin with me, because I think I had written down some of the info incorrectly. She was patient and clear. Answered all my questions and more. The only thing I would suggest are a couple of handouts for patients (approx timelines after surgery, when treatments occur and what to expect from various treatments. If that is too much, then a listing of valid online references with which to better inform ourselves. ) I am confident that I will get quality support and treatment from Dr. Ackerman. I feel lucky to have been referred to her.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Ackerman to new patients. I just met her because Dr. Burrel my oncologist for 4 years retired. Dr. Ackerman was very thorough and took it upon herself to order test to rule out metastasis. It’s very stressful as a patient but I’m glad she did it .

Dr Ackerman is God sent. The most knowledgeable and professional provider I’ve ever had the pleasure of receiving care from. I must say I was blessed to have her as my doctor and I would recommend her a thousand times to friends, family and anyone reading this right now. This was a very trying and difficult time in my life and I was seeing many doctors but Dr. Ackerman was by far the most genuinely interested not only in my illness but also my well-being and family/work life She is friendly, empathetic, so very patient, she could answer all your questions and give you answers to things you didn’t even know you needed to know. Apart from her, the nurses and rest of staff is excellent. I felt at home. They are all professional and I was never anxious going in even when I received not so good results. I am truly satisfied and grateful for everything. Many Thanks

I am only recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Hence, I am at the beginning of having many questions about my apparent need for chemotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy. Dr. Ackerman is bright, forthright and informative. With a backdrop of some difficult events happening in the office prior to my appointment, she took the time to explain a treatment plan thoroughly, and to be specific about why elements of the plan were necessary for me. She even helped in providing information about a second opinion team who may ultimately be more convenient to where I live. In addition, her empathy for some elements of my condition was pronounced. In short, my first meeting with her was characterized by everything I could have asked.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ackermans for almost two years. When I was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I was so lost, and she has been so helpful and caring. I am now over one year out of chemo, and I would not have ever thought I would be here now. Excellent doctor with excellent people skills
