Way too full of himself! He refused my request to see a specialist to get a second opinion. He told me I didn't need one. I had to get a supervisor involved to get the referral. I had to change doctors too. If I was left on an island with him and a monkey I would ask the monkey for medical advice. One time I went in to speak to an office manager she made me discuss my personal health information in the lobby!!! Privacy rights anyone?

We love Dr. Vandewege. I very much appreciate that he's open to looking at less invasive, less expensive and more natural options first but won't hesitate to prescribe medications etc. if needed. I always feel as if he's really listening to my concerns and never feel rushed out of his office. Just a bonus, I have a 5 year old that is an "over reactor" ha, and had a really rough time with his shots previously. Dr. Vandewege spoke to him and showed him a "trick" that worked for my dramatic son :)

Dr. Vandewege is the best doctor I have ever had. He is perfect for our family. His nurse Ashley is especially awesome. She has fun with my kids and makes their routine checkups fun and not scary - which as a mom I appreciate. He takes the time to listen to what I have to say and hear my concerns with any issues that we have going on. Thank you Dr. Vandewege and Nurse Ashley for caring for our family the way you do.

Dr. Vandewege and his staff are excellent! He is such a caring doctor and takes the time to explain things to me. His staff always makes sure that if I have an urgent need and need to be seen right away that it happens. I have recommended Dr. Vandewege to all my family and friends.

I feel so lucky to have such an amazing doctor, for me and my two daughter's ages 6 and 10. Definitely feel we're in the best care with Vandewage. He's caring, personable, and just all around what I expect from a great Doctor. The fact he tries a more natural way to cure a problem, rather than other options, of covering up the root of the issue, is fantastic! I think most will agree that we need more of this for our healthcare.

Dr. Vandewege was my first doctor when I moved into the area 9 years ago. Since then, he has now helped everyone in my family. His bedside manner is perfect for me and my kids. I highly recommend him as your next doctor!

Dr. Vandewege is kind and caring and knowlegable. If he does not know- he finds out. (most of the time he knows.) He is humble and that is refreshing. He keeps a good schedule and is respectful of my time. He has never been late for an appointment. -- and he is thourough. He talks and listens. I think the fact that he is not taking more patients at the current time speaks volumes! Great to have a qualified caring health care provider.

Dr. Vandewege is always very friendly, my son has had him since before he was 1 and we have always been happy with his thorough visits. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Pediatrician or just a regular MD!

I feel that Dr. Vandewedge is the perfect pediatrician for us! He listens to my questions and concerns, addressing each one until I am satisfied. He did not rush through our appointment either. I have never been listened to by a doctor like this before. I would absolutely recommend him!

He seems out of touch with my needs as a patient. Seems like he prefers more holistic healing rather than traditional medical care. He didn't pick up on my symptoms and complaints during a visit. I later had two separate surgeries. He recommended vitamins and over-the-counter medications. When I told the two different surgeons what he suggested, they were surprised and said OTC medications couldn't have possibly made a difference in my situation. One surgeon rolled his eyes and said wow.
