Dr. Coleen Andruss is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician, also board certified and specializing in Bariatrics, which is the study of obesity. She had practiced several years of Primary Care Internal Medicine, however, after realizing the neglect of obesity in the medical society, she decided to open up a Healthy Lifestyles Wellness practice approximately 20 years ago. She is one of 3 board certified Bariatric Physicians in the state of Utah and the only one in Southern Utah.
Dr. Andruss received her Medical Doctorate degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She then completed her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was Chief Medical Resident and staff physician. She has treated thousands of patients for obesity, eating disorders and hormone dysfunction, including practices in Nevada, Virginia and now in St. George, Utah. She has been the medical director of a multi-physician clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as founder and medical director of Physicians Certified Weight Loss Center in Las Vegas, which is still successful and in operation. She then moved to Virginia where she opened up her first Healthy Lifestyles Clinic, which is still successful and in operation under the supervision of another bariatric physician. This has allowed Dr. Andruss to return to the Nevada/Southern Utah region where she has continued for the past 13 years to promote wellness through her Healthy Lifestyles Clinic here in St. George. She treats weight management issues of all kinds, as well as hormone imbalances. She believes in aging gracefully through balanced hormones, eating right, and exercising regularly.
