This content was provided by Dr. Houseman "Dr. Houseman is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon sub-specialized in spine. He received his medical degree from Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines, Iowa in 2007 and completed his neurosurgical residency at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, New York in 2013. Dr. Houseman went on to complete his neurological spine surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee in 2014. Dr. Houseman was board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery in 2014. He is currently a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Medicine, and became the Chief of Neurosurgery, St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in 2015 Dr. Houseman became a clinical assistant professor of the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University in 2015 and clinical assistant professor of the College of Human Medicine, Michigan State University in 2016. He was also the Course Director for the medical student elective course "Fundamentals of Spine Surgery" at Vanderbilt in 2013. Dr. Houseman joined the practice in 2014."
