Nature of Complaint: OUT OF STATE CLAIM: WV. Reported by the Virginia Board of Medicine INCIDENT LOCATION: CHARLESTON, WV /// PRACTITIONER COMMENTS: Fetal SVT causing ascites occurred at 31-32 weeks EGA. I provided appropriate MFM consultative care per accepted practice guidelines. Fetal SVT resolved with the recommended maternal IV digoxin therapy. Urgent preterm delivery at 32 weeks due to fetal bradycardia complicated the serious problems caused by fetal SVT. Neonatal complications ensued.
