I come from a big family. I'm one of ten children. My father was a general surgeon in Texarkana for 44 years. There were 8 boys and 2 girls. All 8 boys eventually followed in dad's footsteps and went to medical school and became physicians. So there's five orthopaedic surgeons, two ER doctors and one equine vet. Dad just made medicine look like a great way to serve our community. That's what he did, serve our community. I remember as a little boy watching him talk to his patients and thought, "I just want to be that guy." It's important to me that people that come to see me know I am going to take as good care of them as I can and hope they have a good outcome. I will work as hard as I can to make sure they have a good outcome. I'm a general orthopaedic surgeon, so I do shoulder replacements, both standard and reverse, rotator cuffs, labial repairs, total knees, total hips, partial knees, partial hips based on what type fracture they have, sports medicine, ACL reconstruction, knee scopes, carpel tunnels, trigger fingers and then all trauma that comes in.Read more
