In 2007 shields and Harpring fixed 2 brain aneurysms, I'm now 53 years old and still going, they did a great job, only problem I had was getting a follow up appointment, couldn't get past the office staff, I can't blame them for that though. Dr Shields should be avoided at all costs! He is very arrogant and cannot be bothered to speak with with his patients prior to surgery or after surgery. He feels that sending his PA to speak with you is a better use of his time. I have never had a surgeon not come top preop to mark the surgery...Read More

He was a nightmare!!!!! Don't ever go to such a mean doctor ! He wouldn't listen and screamed telling us to go to the door! I'm still in shock
