Christopher W. LaSalle, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand, including microvasular reconstruction, rheumatoid arthritis and trauma surgery. Dr. LaSalle retuned to his roots of Fort Wayne and joined HandONE, a division of Ortho NorthEast, in 2000. Chris LaSalle wanted to be a physician from the time he was in grade school. With several physicians in his family, including his father, grandfather, great grandfather and two uncles, Chris knew at a young age that he, too, belonged in the world of medicine. Dr. LaSalle earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana University at Bloomington and his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine. He served a surgical internship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, completed an orthopaedic residency through the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program, and earned a Fellowship Diploma at Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. LaSalle is a diplomate of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa Scholastic Honorary Society. Dr. LaSalle enjoys many hobbies, including cycling, water skiing, golf, bow hunting, beekeeping and spending time with his wife and daughter.
