I had a torn distal bicep tendon which required prompt surgery for best success. Dr. John and staff at Carillion did an excellent job in getting my surgery scheduled. I had several follow up visits and Dr. John was spot on in terms of what/when of activities to get my arm back in service. Everyone I dealt with at the office from was professional and courteous.

I'm left with NO PAIN MEDS and I didn't run out too soon. I cannot get a return phone call from the office. It's cruel to leave people in pain like this. You have not heard the Last of Me. This is medical negligence!

Let's just say Dr. John lacks any bedside manner. He comes off as very arrogant & just "off" a bit. I've been given different instructions from his nurses than him but he tells me I didn't hear things right. He did do a good job in my surgery so far, I'm only 2 weeks out but the PT says it's healing great & I am above the average right now so that's why I gave him a 3. He really doesn't take the time with you after surgery that I would like. Feel like I'm a piece of cattle being moved through.

Dr. John performed extensive elbow reconstructive surgery on me in 2005, and I have seen him for follow-up care ever since then. He did an excellent job, and I have more range of motion than anyone ever expected. I also did exactly as he said and gave it my all with physical therapy. One other reviewer mentioned difficulty with pain meds - I think everyone should be overly cautious with pain meds. I would, and have, recommended Dr. John very highly to anyone committed to getting well.

Unprofessional. He inadequately prepared me for the healing time required for an ACL repair -suggesting a few months as oppose to a full year with a few months of physical therapy. He also had the gall to speak to my mother outside the exam room about me, (She was there as my driver ONLY, I was well over 18) suggesting I had a drug problem because I was not responsive to pain medications. She knew his accusation was false (I have a natural tolerance) and told me of the confidentiality breach

Dr. John has treated me for several injuries. He performed extensive shoulder surgery with excellent results. My shoulder has recovered fully and returned to full strength and mobility. I could not be any more satisfied with the surgery and recovery. I have recommended Dr. John to many friends and family with excellent results as well.

Dr. John is very knowledgable but my only thing is they the doctors none of them give you much time while in the room . You wait a long time for them not to give much time . Dr. John done a great job on my shoulder fixing it . This had been the hardest surgery to get over.
