What People Say About Dr. Christopher DiBlasio, MD

Dr. Deblasio saved my life. Through a series of diagnostic tests, he discovered that I had a very aggressive form of prostate cancer. We had a very thorough discussion with him reviewing the results and possible next steps. He directed me to speak with a robotic surgeon, a general oncologist and a radiation oncologist so that I could obtain opinions for a course of action. I decided to have a robotic radical prostatectomy. Dr. Deblasio was not the surgeon performing this procedure but he was at the hospital prior to surgery. He spoke with me personally just prior to the surgery. He quarterbacked the whole process. I am pleased to say that I am recovering and so far cancer free thanks to Dr. Deblasio and his team. I can’t say enough about his professionalism and dedication to patient care.

Dr DiBlasio and his staff have been great. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with bladder cancer. All steps of treatment, communication, and professionalism have been excellent. Pre and post surgery care have been well above standard from his PA's, Scheduling, and office visits. I highly recomennd Dr. D.

I recently had prolapsed bladder surgery by Dr. DiBlasio an Urologic Oncology specialist. I am a woman in my nineties, usually in good health, who needed some help. Dr. DiBlasio listened to my issues and answered all of my questions. He explained the procedure so i would know what to expect, giving me peace of mind. I am doing very well and am grateful that i had such a good doctor.

Dr. Chris has taken care of me since 1/15, when I needed surgery from having complications from the mesh surgery. His attentiveness to my problem at the time was the "best medicine" for me to recover after two surgeries. His staff is always polite and makes you feel like "family".

I was referred to Dr. DiBlasio by Dr. Anthony Corcoran of Garden City after going to him for a second opinion. The suggested procedure was to hollow out an enlarged prostrate. This was much less invasive than was suggested originally and his projections for what would happen after the surgery was very accurate. I felt like he was an angel sent to me from Heaven. On a scale of 1 - 5, I would rate him a 10. Both Dr. Corcoran and Dr. DiBlasio are exceptional Urologists.

I hope better late than never with regard to this review... I had a kidney stone that practically needed a jackhammer to remove. I am extremely 'doctor-phobic' and the first doctor I saw left me utterly cold, so I looked elsewhere. My ancient mental facilities do not recall how I found Dr DiBlasio, but within minutes of meeting him I was completely comfortable with him - and his recommended procedure was much more to my liking. HIGHLY recommended, from (remember!) a doctor-phobe!

Dr. Chris DiBlasio is a great guy who truly cares about his patients! I would highly recommend him to family and friends. My annual visit is a time of laughter and it makes going a pleasure. I’ll never forget about 2 years ago I had to wait over an hour in the exam room. Within the month I received a letter of apology for keeping me waiting so long. I never had a dr send me anything but a bill. Keep up the great work Chris!

Dr DiBlasio is an outstanding medical professional. He is compassionate and knowledgeable and spends a good deal of time with his patients to help them feel comfortable. I highly recommend him for any urinary issues you may have. As far as my rating goes for scheduling, this is based on my experience after the Mount Sinai move to Cuba Hill - it takes a little longer to get an appointment or to talk to someone in the office. But don't let that deter you from using him.

I found Dr. DiBlasio, after my former urologist moved, on Healthgrades website. I then found out that friends had been using his father as their urologist who live near the practice and now were also seeing his son who had joined the practice. They had only positive things to say and this matched his 5 star rating on your site. At my first visit, I found out he actually had assisted my doc during my surgery! I could see docs much closer to me.. but I feel the level of care is worth the trip!
