This content was provided by Dr. Danney "Christopher M. Danney, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a particular interest in sports medicine. Dr. Danney graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in biochemistry, while lettering on the University of Texas football team. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. During his orthopaedic surgery residency at Duke University, Dr. Danney provided orthopedic care for the Duke basketball and football teams. He received the William S. Ogden Traveling Fellowship Award for the Outstanding Junior Resident. He now volunteers his time as the team physician for Cedar Park High School and the Texas Stars hockey team. Dr. Danney serves on the Board of Directors at Texas Orthopaedic Association in his role as treasurer and secretary and is Chief of Orthopaedics at Seton Northwest Hospital. He has been named by his peers to the Super Doctors Rising Stars® list in 2012, 2013 and 2014. A native Texan, Dr. Danney grew up in Boerne, near San Antonio. He relocated to Austin and the Texas Hill Country with his wife, Melissa. Dr. Danney has four sons and enjoys golfing and traveling."
