Dr. Brown is an excellent surgeon. He is very personable. He takes time to talk with his patients to explain his treatment plan. I have had 2 surgeries that he performed. He has been my doctor for over 10 years. I highly recommend him. I would only trust Dr. Brown with any spine issues.

I had Posterior Laminectomy C3-6 performed by Dr. Brown in February, 2016. After surgery I developed Hemidiaphragm Paralysis; my right Phrenic Nerve, which controls my diaphragm stopped working. This condition has caused me severe breathing problems. Dr. Brown gave me no valid answer as to why or how this happened. Stated he never had a patient develop this after surgery. This possibility was NEVER discussed. Beware before you sign off on this surgery. My life has been changed forever

My first surgery that Dr. Brown did was a complicated lumbar fusion. I recovered in record time following his instructions. During my one year follow-up I told him of problems I was having with arm pain and hand numbness. He ordered a MRI and told me I had some narrowing disc spaces but conservatively didn't recommend surgery. He said to keep him informed. Months later it was worse and Dr. Brown performed ACDF. Six weeks post-op and doing great. He's the best as is his staff.

I recommend Dr Brown to everyone I know who is having neck and back problems. He did an excellent job in performing extremely complicated surgery on my husband and was straightforward, insightful and responsive from pre-surgery to post-surgery.
in Raleigh NC |
Dr Brown performed surgery for spondylolisthesis on me. He explained the condition clearly. At the 3-1/2 month post-surgery, my pre-surgery pain in my legs is gone. There is very little pain in my back. During and after exercising, I do have to take painkillers, but this is to be expected. I'm very glad I chose Dr Brown to help me.
in Clarksville, VA |
Dr. Brown is very straight forward on your condition, what can be done to help you, and explains exactly what will occur during treatment. There were no surprises. Follow-up care is precise and scheduled for your needs.
