Education Born and raised in the greater Boston area, Dr. Kollmorgen moved to Eugene with her family in 1998. She received a Bachelor of Arts in biology at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. She spent six years at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she completed her residency training in general surgery, was a laparoscopic research fellow and served as an associate professor of surgery. Certifications, Associations & Publications Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Kollmorgen is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of Lane County Medical Society, Oregon Medical Association, American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Society of Breast Disease and Mayo Clinic Priestly Society. An associate professor of surgery at Oregon Health and Science University, she serves as chairwoman of the Northwest Specialty Clinics Board and is past chief of surgery at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She has published extensively on advanced laparoscopic surgery, colon, rectal, breast and endocrine surgery."
