I find some of these bad reviews confusing, and wonder if it is a matter of perception over reality. However in my experience Dr. Go is a top notch physician, and only after seeing her and working at her treatment plan is my diabetes finally in check. She is the 3rd Doctor I have seen about my type 2 diabetes, and after my first visit with her about 2 years ago I knew she was the right one. She responds to messages in a timely matter, works with me to find what works for me, and is knowledgeable

Dr. Go is an excellent physician. She explains my health condition well, answers my questions, and is thorough. I'm pretty picky about my doctors and dentist and I would highly recommend her.

I went to Dr. Go when I moved to NoVa, based on positive feedback of the practice. From my experience, she did not meet that high standard. She believes that she is above explaining her opinions on treatment to her patients (many of whom have dealt with diabetes just as long as she has), instead telling them there are other doctors if they disagree with her. Well, she's right. There are other, much better, doctors around the area. Strongly do not recommend.

She was only focused on numbers and never symptoms. She question the original lab results and how and when the blood was drawn. She wanted me to stop taking the medication for three months so she could validate the original labs. When I question this her response was, There are other endocrinologist in NVA, which to me was more or less go pound sand.
in Bedford, VA |
Dr. Go was one of only a few Doctors, over a period 50 years, that made me feel that she was actually concerned about my health. She listened patiently to me as I described my history and my own approach to treatments. She suggested methods and resources to solve and prevent my issues from reoccurring without repetitive treatments. I only regret that she has moved away from my area, as I would certainly steer many of my friends and family to her.
