Dr Allaman recently did cataract surgery on both my eyes. I have worn glasses since a childhood and the surgery has restored me to near 20:20 vision. Dr. Allaman and staff were the utmost professionals, did a great job informing me about my alternatives, the surgery, and post-surgical care. They treated me with care and compassion.

Had several pre-procedure and post-procedure visits, testing, medications by type and use/applications, and surgery on both eyes with lens implants. Found all aspects of this practice to be highly professional, very good quality in all aspects, well informed staff who along with physicians made me feel comfortable. All the staff were excellent in reducing patient anxiety. Besides myself my wife also had excellent care and results from Dr. Allaman / Dr. Flores, Santa Cruz, CA . Post-procedures on both my eyes (as well as my wife) we now have 100% improvements in vision of both eyes, distance/close vision great, and color recognition has also a huge improvement - unbelievable! Regardless of the cost every dollar is very well spent.

Melody Flores, the optometrist in Dr. Allaman's office is sensational. The best optometrist I've ever had. Her explanations are excellent - so clear - she is wonderful. Fortunately she explained things to me that Dr. Allaman had no time to explain (assume that was why he didn't give me the information about cataracts and lenses, etc.) and I cannot recommend her more highly.

Dr. Allaman is truly amazing; I had two cataract surgeries performed by him, and am immensely pleased. He explained the surgery and options for the implanted lenses thoroughly, answered all my questions during appointments. His surgery staff are wonderfully kind and supportive; they put me at ease so I was not nervous at all going into the surgeries. I had minimal discomfort after both surgeries, no complications, and have gone from not being able to see the big "E" on the vision chart to 20/25 in one eye, 20/30 in the other just 3 weeks after the 2nd surgery, and am still healing. Having worn glasses since 7th grade, this is amazing. I am very happy that I had my cataract surgeries performed by Dr. Allaman, and highly recommend him!

Top notch care from start to finish. Allaman and his entire staff are nothing but courteous and extremely professional. My new vision since having my cataracts done is 20/20 with the astigmatism totally gone and no glasses needed. I am amazed at the difference. Dr Allaman is VERY good and I have seen it all after spending over 43 years of my career in medicine.

I wake up daily to a new world of vision. I had replacement lens cataract surgery with the premium replacement lens, a multi-focal lens, allowing vision for near, intermediate and far distances. Dr. Allaman didn't know if he could get perfect vision for all three because my eyes were borderline for the technology. With Dr. Allaman's careful pre-surgery calculation and amazing skill in surgery, I have 20/20 vision. Get a cataract surgery evaluation. It could change how you see the world.

Before my recent cataract surgery with Dr. Allaman., my vision was somewhat blurry. After cataract surgery my vision was crystal clear, colors were brighter and I tested an amazing 20/20 in both eyes. I am so thankful. Dr. Allaman and his staff were courteous and professional in their procedures and care for me. They listened and answered all my questions so I could make an informed decision regarding my eyes. I experienced no pain or discomfort during or after surgery.. A first rate doctor.

Dr. Allaman was excellent in providing all options that pertained to me, and recommended what he thought was best. However, he left the final decision in my hands. I went with his recommendation, which was an excellent decision. I really appreciate his professional and friendly manner. Dr. Allaman answers all questions that I have on each visit. I always feel that he makes time for me, and is NOT rushing me out of the office. I am confident in recommending him.

Many thanks to Dr. Allaman and his excellent staff. Because of his excellent work I am theoretically glasses free. I will use a prescription though, that clears up my vision even better in my lazy eye. I could wear a contact in it if I wish! Amazing, exciting, and life changing. I had cataracts removed and multi-focal lenses inserted. Truly an awesome experience to see colors and see food!

Because of a cornea disease complicating my cataract surgery,I was frightened of surgery and anticipated a difficult procedure and lengthy recovery, with fears of losing sight altogether. Dr Allaman operated on my worst eye a week ago, and he became my new SuperHero, removing the cataracts painlessly and efficiently, and giving me a lens that almost immediately improved my nearsightedness and suffused my world with bright, light color. I recommend him highly to everyone!

I had cataract surgery by Dr. Allaman the end of July, 2015. I had surgery on my other eye years earlier by a doctor in San Jose, so I had a comparison. My first doctor retired so I had to search for a new one closer to home, Dr Allaman and his office staff met my expectations as did the the surgery. There was a bit of a wait for one of my visits, but sometimes the doctor needs to take a little more time with some patients, not a scheduling issue. Only one little issue - I did feel slightly
