Dr. Shah performed my detached retina repair surgery in October 2019 and I have been in his care since then. I recently visited him for a follow up appointment. I am extremely pleased with his level of expertise. He took time in advance of the procedure to explain precisely what to expect and kept me informed during the surgery. During my multiple visits post surgery, he always patiently makes time to answer my questions and discuss my progress. It is evident that Dr. Shah takes great pride in his work and genuinely cares for the wellbeing of his patients.

Dr. Shah is a very kind, intelligent and talented eye surgeon. The morning after my eye surgery, when I removed my eye patch, was like a miracle. My vision had improved so much more than I had expected. I normally would be nervous about such a surgery, but Dr. Shah exudes confidence along with compassion. If you need eye surgery and are hesitant...don't be. You are in the most capable hands with Dr. Shah.

Dr. Chirag Shah in my own "retina world" is beyond outstanding. I speak from experience: Dr. Shah surgically repaired 2 macular holes in the past decade (same eye, 4 years apart -- unusual). He is professional, thorough, kind, and earnest -- and esteemed beyond the OCB practice. I have referred Dr. Shah to numerous friends and would do so for my family if needed. I see him annually and look forward to the reassurance, from state-of-the-art diagnostic testing, that the health of BOTH eyes is being monitored by an expert who cares. Offered with appreciation and respect.

I have known Dr. Shah for a few years now, and cannot recommend him highly enough. He performed 2 of the 4 surgeries I had in one eye over the course of a few weeks, and I have seen him for many follow-up visits since. His interactions with me are always calming and professional, answering any question with clarity and directness. Dr. Shah is personable and has a great way about him; once when taking a look after a lens implanted during cataract surgery had shifted, he remarked, "we can fix this!" And he did - he employed a state-of-the-art approach (the Yamane technique) which had to be performed at Mass General, where he has privileges.

Dr Shah has been my Ophthalmolgist for the past 5 years. During this time I've experienced a concern and the same day I called I was accommodated with a same day appointment which made me feel truly valued as a patient not just another problem case. Dr Shah is thorough when explaining eye conditions and the reasons certain tests may be needed. Dr Shah helps me better understand my eye condition and eye care in a way I understand.

Dr Shah makes getting shots in my eyes a relatively enjoyable experience. If you have to have it done anyway, there's nobody else I'd want to do it. He takes the time to explain the details and makes me feel comfortable having work done on my eyes. I've always taken my eyesight for granted. Since being diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy, I've seen a number of doctors. Dr Shah is doctor I'll be taking for granted for as long as he'll have me. Imagine the confidence you have to have in someone to trust your vision to them! He deserves all of your confidence. He's truly an amazing doctor!

Dr. Shah has been caring for my father for a couple of years. He's the most patient and delightful doctor. My father needs to have shots in his eyes every two months and he says Dr. Shah has such precision he doesn't feel anything. He also explains everything to my father in Spanish. He's one of the best practitioners my father has seen. Since seeing him, my father's vision has improved dramatically. He's wonderful!

Dr. Shah was a reassuring voice during a very scary time. I returned from a trip to Europe and a day later lost all vision in my left eye. Dr. Shah saw me the next day and diagnosed a detached retina. I was scheduled for surgery the next day. His compassion, knowledge, and gentle nature had me convinced I would be fine. AND after 2 years I am! I would highly recommend that if you have eye issues this is the man for the job. Dr. Shah, I am truly grateful for your kindness and support.

I have been treated for Macular Degeneration by Dr Chirag Shah for the past almost three years. Dr Shah has been has been more than perfect with all of his treatments. Each visit consist of two injections into each eye and to date I have not felt any discomfort at all in about 16 Treatments.
