Care Philosophy

I believe in being thorough in providing orthopedic care. I am very good at diagnosis for complex conditions. I frequently can help people who have been receiving care at other locations without success. I believe in educating the patient and guiding them to make the best decision in their care. I do not believe in being dogmatic or dictatorial or treating every patient the same. I believe in getting to know my patients as opposed to treating them like a number.Read more

The staff is HORRIBLE. Obviously this office is only about money. I have wonderful insurance and when the office manager told my husband his co-pay was WAY more than it should have been and he only wanted to pay what he knew it was, they refused to see him. He has 16 screws and two plates and is afraid one of his screws popped. We just moved to NC and he needed to be seen right away. I guess people are no longer in this profession to help the injured. Very sad.

Loooong wait...Was sent to see him for a second opinion. It was after I left his office that I came to the conclusion he wasn't qualified to make any opinions on the condition of my foot. His examination of my foot was too short and lack professionalism. His pretense to understanding what RSD is and now to spot and treat it was alarming. His opinion will/may be damaging to any future treatment.

It was very frustrating to make an appointment. The scheduling staff is not friendly, nor helpful. It took me almost 60 minutes and had to engage my insurance to make the appointment. At the end, I was not sure it was worthwhile the effort. Never had this experience before in other clinics.

Went to Dr Hayes with back hip leg and foot pain so bad I could not work! He farted around giving me shots in my spine for six months the hole time I was telling him they did very little to help with the pain! And after six months short term disability ran out and so did my insurance! I have not had the money to get anything else done since April 2015 but some how he says I'm capable of boing heavy work! The pain is unbearable sometimes but he don't care! Quack!!!
