Care Philosophy

To provide the finest, most thoughtful and compassionate care of the arthritic hip and knee with a basis in science. I strive to get patients better quickly, to have their outcomes last a long time, and to do so in the safest way possible. I have a special interest in revision total hip and knee replacement and take on many very difficult "re-do" patients and cases. In doing so I hope to be able to improve a patient's quality of life through hard work, a good plan, sound advice and a thorough understanding of what we are about to embark on.

East Lansing, MI |
Dr. Taunt is very nice. He got my husband in very quickly. He was very confident that he needed surgery and it couldn't wait when another week. We talked to 3 other orthopedics and all of them said surgery wasn't necessary and it didn't need to be so rushed. We didn't get the surgery done and it worked out and we didn't but have to spend tons of money.

Had both knees replaced, 8 weeks apart. Never experienced any significant pain. Was off prescribed pain medication within the first week, some use of Tylenol thereafter. Excellent experience, both pre op and post op. Feel years younger and healthier. Dr. Taunt and team are the of the best caliber a patient could hope for!!
