My wife and I (and our now grown children who no longer live in Atlanta) have had the good fortunate to be patients of Dr. Schramm's for over 35 years. Even though we now have several new options closer to home for family medical care services we have made a conscientious decision to stay with Dr, Schramm and his team who have provided us with the highest level of quality care and personal attention. My most recent visit is just one example. I scheduled myself to have Dr. Schramm help determine what if any follow up might be needed to deal with my anxiety concerns. He was not only an attentive listener and supporter but he also chose to be proactive in checking to see if I had physical symptoms associated with my mental concerns. Not only did he determine that I had serious non symptomatic cardiac condition but he took it upon himself and took an extra hour to ensure that I was seen by a specialist that same afternoon. I have no doubt that Dr. Schramm prevented a family tragedy.

Excellent Patient Experience
I consider my first visit, my initial phone call to the facility. Often times this can give you a glimpse into how you will be treated once in office. The physical visit to the office did not disappoint and aligned with my initial call. What's important to a patient is the receiving clear information, direction and be treated as if your health matters to them. I received this all along my first visit and call. Additionally, the facility is well maintained and gives you peace in knowing that all measures are being taken for your health safety. Dr. Shramma was personable, professional and had a great ear (listening carefully to everything I had to say or question). I am looking forward to making this my permanent place for my health care needs. If you do not have a PCP, I would guide you this way. Thank you all of the staff for your attentiveness.

Terrible experience. I waited got almost 35 minutes past my appointment time to be ushered into the examination room and another 20 to see the physician. The exam was brief and cursory. I was upsold on bloodwork (I was there for a physical, and granted, supposedly the insurance plan didn’t cover basic things like glucose). I had to wait 15 more minutes to have my blood drawn because the physician had forgotten to place the order! In the meantime, the office manager rudely suggested I come back another day for the bloodwork, even though I had already waited got close to 1.5 hours and had fasted! Fast forward—didn’t hear anything for a week. When I called about my lab results, they emailed them to me, indicating I’d get a call from the doctor. That call never came. However, a call came today with the office person saying my results were normal, even though that was not accurate. I do not recommend this practice!

I have found his treatment of my diabetes to be lacking. Typical appointments are pro-forma with him not completing the most basic tests. In over 18 months he has never checked my feet. At one point in a clear violation of HIPPA he approaches my in the lobby and dumps two new prescriptions in my lap and tells me to take these. When I asked how he proceeds to explain how to self administer an injection of medication. Why he did this when we agreed to wait until my lab results were back is confusing. When the tests come back I'm good to stay on my old meds. It wasn't till several weeks later when i looked at the boxes he gave me that I read that one of them needed to be refrigerated. He never told me. Diabetes patients should be seen 90-days if they are at risk of high blood sugr levels, he hasn't seen me in over twice that long. Additonally he changed my meds without telling me or giving me associated counseling. He has never discussed life style changes or even mentioned BMI or diet.

I’ve been going to Dr. Schramm for at least 10 years and could not ask for a better physician. Easy going, very patient and very thorough. Excellent doctor. Fun Fact: Ask him to multiply any two numbers. You’d better have the answer ready or he’ll beat you to it!

I’m a new patient of Dr. Schramm and the referral couldn’t have been more suitable. I was able to schedule my first appointment and meet Dr. Schramm without any stipulations. Having recently become employed full time with a new found career and establishing residency while experiencing various physical and emotional trauma and personal health concerns, past and present, while adjusting to my new found life, Dr Schramm welcomed me! He has my trust, and I’m genuinely grateful and thankful for him!
