Dr. Murphy's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Murphy "Dr. Bill Murphy is a San Antonio native and graduated from Lee High School before moving up I-35 to attend the University of Texas in 1971. He graduated with a degree in Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist while attending medical school at UT Southwestern medical school in Dallas. Upon graduation in 1980, he moved back to San Antonio for an internship in Internal Medicine and specialty training in Anesthesiology. He has been in private practice in San Antonio since 1983. He is board certified in Anesthesiology with a Sub-specialty Certification in Pain Management. He is the founder and President/CEO of Hill Country Pain Associates, serves on various boards, and has been instrumental in taking the care of pain patients to 5 counties around San Antonio and to the hill country. Dr. Murphy has been married to his high school sweetheart for 40 years and they have 3 children and three grandchildren. His wife, Tisa, works with him in his practice. She has specialized in developing the hill country locations and educating patients and doctors about what is available for people with chronic pain. Dr. Murphy loves outdoor activities; he is an avid cyclist, golfer, gardener, and loves spending time in the Caribbean and with his family. Dr. Murphy feels that practicing medicine and helping patients is not a job, it is a privilege. He penned the mantra for his practice several years ago, "Relieving Pain, Restoring Hope". This is the philosophy that is the basis for every decision that he and his staff make for their patients"

Unethical to do this without informing patient of cost. A drug screening test can be performed for much...more
