I read the prior reviews before my appointment and sadly everything they wrote about him is true. He should probably just teach medicine but not practice medicine. I came in for a second opinion on a fatty liver issue and he told me that it doesn't exist. He said regardless of my sonogram report. He said that since the endoscopy in good that no further testing is necessary, even I have severe abdominal pain. He barely evaluated my stomach. Please don't waste time with him!

Dr. Maltz saw my mother and said I don't know why the hospital sent you to me. She has stomach issues and he told her to go to a neurologist. No tests . No questions about her stomach problems. He was dismissive and rude.
in New York, NY |
Have not had exam with Dr. Maltz, but work within Weill Cornell. Contacted him to rectify an issue with an patient's exam (Maltz placed he wrong order). He was extremely rude, refused to fix his mistake, told me he does not have time for this and that he will send his patient to a different hospital. He would rather inconvenience his patient and be rude to staff than spend 30 seconds fixing a mistake. No idea about his clinical work, but awful to deal with. Would never consider going there
in New York, NY |
Perhaps a good academic and knowledgeable in his field, and kind in demeanor, but I felt that he little considered my information, gave a pat answer to my problem, was disrespectful of my concerns and unavailable when I had complicating issues, did not advise me of or schedule the follow up care that (I now know) was indicated, and left me in a position of continuing to suffering symptoms for a prolonged period of time that might have been avoided and that affected my life significantly.
