I saw Dr. Kinsella a few times a few years back. I did not care for him at first visit. I gave him another visit and decided to never see him again. I never felt comfortable with him. He has a rude attitude and no good bedside manner. Very cold. I see Many reviews the same as mine. Why would this doctor still be at st. francis. Mooresville or anywhere wIth such bad reviews. Is there that bad a shortage of good docotors out there?

I saw Dr. Kinsella for the first time to go over my at home sleep study. He talked to me for maybe 5 minutes at my appointment. He kept telling me how skinny I was, mind you I'm a healthy weight for my height and age. He kept feeling/saying he could feel my shin bones. He said I had a lot of signs of sleep apnea but not enough for him to do another test. I told him I was a mouth breather when I slept and he asked me what that meant...how are you a sleep specialist and you don't know what that means? He told me I needed to get a better sleep schedule so if i'm going to bed at 11 p.m then I need to wake up by 5 a.m (6 hours) and not a minute later or it wouldn't work, I continued to tell him that the hours I wrote down on the paper didn't mean I was sleeping that whole time because I wake up several times during the night and can't fall back asleep he didn't have anything to say other then again that I needed to get a better sleep schedule.

This was my first time and likely ONLY time) seeing this doctor. My visit was for an okay for surgery because the NP in pre-op didn't feel comfortable approving me. I have asthma, sleep apnea and mild emphysema. Dr. Kinsella burst into the room and said congratulations, you've upgraded or maybe graduated to severe (or something similar) COPD. He was rude, never looked me in the eye and did not listen to me AT ALL. MY pcp diagnosed me with emphysema which was confirmed by chest x-ray or ct scan. Not one word about severe COPD or any stage at all. If my pcp says I need a pulmonologist, I'm going to ask for a referral to someone else! I do not recommend this doctor at all.

I have been seeing Dr. Kinsella for a few years now and have no complaints. I see a lot of negative reviews here and am a little surprised. I haven’t had any negative experiences with him or his office team. His bedside manner is decent, so based on the reviews I’m guessing it has improved over the last few years? Either way, I take a controlled substance so getting my prescription has been full of issues in the past, but since going to Dr. Kinsella things have gone much smoother. His assistants at the Greenwood office are wonderful and listened to me and suggested I switch to Kroger or Target pharmacy from CVS, which was part of my problem with my prescription (but that’s another story). Overall, I have been very satisfied with Dr. Kinsella and interacting with his team at both locations. He is friendly and professional and his office responds to calls in a reasonable amount of time.

Dr. Kinsella didn't really listen as to what I thought was going on. He's has had me on a CPAP machine for over a year with the same results, me not sleeping for more than 3hours at a time. Although I do fall asleep faster I don't have sound sleep. He wants me to stay on longer even when I tell him its been over a year with no change. He's unwilling or unable to do anything else. Sleepless in Indy looking for a new Doc.

Interaction with this Dr. sounds pretty similar to what many others have reported. I don't trust him- He didn't read my chart and recommended that I get a procedure that my GP subsequently told me there was no rationale for and my insurance wouldn't pay for. My APAP mask makes me itch, sweat, etc. and I can't stand it!!! However, he thinks I'm doing great because of the data & doesn't offer alternative treatments. Made an appt with a different doctor.

This doctor doesn't care one cent about a patient. He bursts into the room every single time with a lets get this over with attitude. He wont even look at you when he talks to you. He keeps his nose buried in the computer. I am sure checking the boxes so he can get paid. I absolutely can't stand this doctor. His scheduling is a joke. I love the St. Francis network. I love my PCP who is the greatest in the world. I had a cardiologist who was awesome. Nurses are incredible. This guy is a joke.

His bedside manner is a joke, no compassion at all. His staff does not give him messages. I called trying to get his medical assistant to call me or to get a message to him to no avail. I ended up in the hospital. They don't care. I called his office to try and get in and they refused to get me in EVEN after a stay in the hospital. I don't even know why I was so persistent but I was and I got in 4 days later. And I was the bad person for being persistent with his staff. Joke. Moving on.

I have seen Dr. Kinsella over the past three years. Besides apnea, I have Circadian rhythm sleep disorder and insomnia. His repeated solution to this is to get on a schedule. No kidding. After two years, this solution is clearly not working. When I questioned him on it, I felt he was getting agitated and asked if I just wanted medicine. If it helps, yes, but I want a solution, not just 'get a schedule or medication.' He wanted to see me back in a year. No solutions, no help, just frustration.

Horrible doctor. Would not listen to my concerns about my sleep apnea. Told me that dust mites was my problem. Will never go back to this quack. When I told him we were already using allergen pillow covers and washing sheets 2 times a week and had a house cleaner. He didn't want to hear it. Still said dust mites is the problem and that surgery doesn't help sleep apnea. Offered no solutions to my problem. Told him that the pressure on the machine is too high and he wants it to be higher.
