My Dad was a patient of Dr. Fuenzalida’s for many years. In the beginning, Dad was confident and pleased of everyone in the practice and especially Dr. Fuenzalida. He had 2-3 heart surgeries. Dr. Fuenzalida is a good Doctor, but something went very wrong back in 2019. Dad was told he needed an aorta valve replacement surgery. The administrative office staff were awful to him. Appointments were cancelled at last minute, insurance issues were handled incorrectly and they delayed my Dads surgery almost a whole year. Very irresponsible. I talked with him November of 2019 and I asked him how his appointments with Dr. Fuenzalida’s office we’re going. He said he didn’t think they knew what they were doing. He was forced to see the physician assistant. They were not proactive in advocating for my Dads heart health. They deviated professional care from my Dad. His situation became dire and finally in April 2020, he had his aorta valve replacement surgery. We lost our Dad in May 2020. No.

I had no noticeable wait. While I had a mask I was given a new mask. I was notified Dr F. was just finishing a procedure elsewhere in the bldg and would be with me shortly. By the time the preliminaries were done he arrived. So no real waiting. He patiently listened to my life stressors which was nice. No complaints.

I have been with Dr Fuenzalida since 2006 when I first went into Afib or maybe I should say he has stuck with me. My heart has been more than difficult and at times treatment has been a huge challenge. In spite of that, he has more than met the challenge and my heart is now behaving as it should.

Bob – Mar 15, 2020
Staff were very kind and compassionate. We had to wait more than 2 hours to be seen. While waiting we saw multiple clients come in after us and be seen while we still waited. Our family member was clearly in much worse shape (who has dementia, using a walker and on oxygen) then all but one of the clients taken back and seen before us. We were told that the doctor had double booked his clients so had no available rooms; we were also told that the doctor wanted to provide high quality service. I don't understand how waiting in the office to be seen for over 2 hours equates to high quality service. Also, we had to rebook our original apt (made more than 6 months ago for January 2020) because the doctor had to cancel his appointments that day and we couldn't be seen for over a month after he cancelled our original apt. After finally being taken to an exam room, we waited there for half an hour before the doctor came in. He arrived with no apologies.
