My wrist got broken from a scooter accident on a Wednesday and Dr. Manke fixed it that Friday. Within 6 weeks my hand is almost back to normal and my wrist is able to move. His personality was refreshing and he lessoned to all my concerns and directed me to the right places to find answers. He is the man to see if you need help with your hand.

Dr. Manke performed surgery putting my humerus fractured in several places back together and reattaching two major rotator cuff repairs. This was all due to fall from a ladder. The care and kindness I was shown was amazing. He is an excellent surgeon and I know I will have complete use of my limb. I cannot express how grateful I am to him, his secretary, assistants and hospital assistants. This was a life changing trauma and without his skill my outcome may have been less satisfactory.

I shattered both wrists in a fall while in Amsterdam. Dr. Manke came highly recommended by other well-regarded Norfolk physicians and we were able to get an appointment the day after our flight home. He did a complex surgery that involved reconstructing the wrists and inserting plates connected with screws. The surgery went beautifully and working with a physical therapist, I have regained full range of motion in both wrists and hands. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Manke and his staff!

After reviewing my test results Dr. Manke took the time to explain what he could do to relive the pain of carpal tunnel. The surgery as done approximately a month later on a Tuesday, I returned to work thee following Monday. No more pain or sleepless nights. Success.

Dr. Manke is a great doctor! I don't say this lightly, he let me guide my care and did not push surgery to fix my hand problem. After years of cortisone injections they were no longer effective and I told Dr. Manke I was ready to explore the surgical options, he laid them out and I choose the one that I felt would serve me best and he agreed. If you need a hand doctor or surgeon you surely can not do better than Dr. Manke

I am leaving a low score because I was not able to see Dr. Manke. It must be nice to pick which patients you want to see and turn down the rest. Dr. Manke would not even provide me the courtesy of explaining why he wouldn't see me. Also, his secretary Caitlan is hard to reach and very not helpful at all.

Dr. Manke is a wonderful surgeon. He diagnosed the problem and came up with options for me. After an MRI we discussed what the best option would be and he listened to my concerns. I felt that he valued what I had to say and explained everything that he was going to do in surgery in terms I understood. The surgery was a success and I am glad I chose him as the doctor.

Completed Carpal and Cubital tunnel surgery on both wrists and elbows. The wait is sometimes long, but these are surgeons folks, and you don't want them hurrying up on YOUR surgery to get to the office:) They spend the time they need to spend with patients. My outcomes are an amazing return to function for both my hands for someone who paints, sews, crochets, and weaves; as well as all the other typical activities we find hands useful in completing everyday. Thank you Doc.

I had a total elbow replacement and was anxious on the chances of regaining full range of motion including hands and fingers since I was getting a new metal elbow! Excellent surgeon. Very professional. Advised me of all the potential problems and answered all my questions both before and after surgery. I would highly recommend to family and friends and anyone with problems involving shoulder. arm, wrist and hands.

My score for Dr. Manke is low because I never had the chance to go through with the surgery he recommended for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. His secretary Caitlin who is responsible for scheduling the surgery and pre ?surgery appointments was abysmal. I am sorry to give Dr. Manke a low score, but I feel that he is ultimately responsible for his staff, the policies and procedures of his office, the manner in which they are carried out, and how patients under his care are treated.

Kind. Dr. Manke never in the many years of seeing him ever had me doubting him or my injuries. He talks to me so I can understand what is happening and will sit and answer questions never felt rushed. As for the surgeries I have had to endure, so far so good. Ulnar shortening on both arms.
