    Dr. Klauser says...

Our practice assists with ultrasounds, genetic counseling (including screening and invasive testing), and consultations for both low and high risk pregnancies.  The management of hypertensive diseases of pregnancy (preeclampsia, chronic hypertension, HELLP syndrome) is an area I especially enjoy after being trained by one of the foremost experts in the country.  Coupled with this is an interest in maternal autoimmune diseases and kidney disease, all which increase the risk of hypertensive diseases in pregnancy.  I also enjoy assisting in the management of diabetes in pregnancy, both pre-existing and gestational diabetes.  I was fortunate to practice in a group previously that had a high percentage of multiple gestations, and find helping these patients navigate the risks of growth restriction, preterm labor, and preeclampsia, among others, extremely rewarding.

    Dr. Klauser says...

Our office assists with genetic screening of both known inherited issues, as well as the universal first trimester nuchal translucency screening, fetal DNA screening from maternal blood, and counseling on any abnormalities that may be discovered.  Additionally, both Chorionic Villus Sampling and Amniocentesis are offered both for maternal reassurance if desired, as well as if an abnormal screen or ultrasound is discovered.
