Dr. Amaya's bio
This content was provided by Dr. Amaya "Born and raised in California with an early love for medicine. My philosophy is to understand what physical pain and disease really are. Both physical pain and disease are intricately woven into all negative emotions and stress. Health problems we experience create a feedback system. Therefore, to maintain the body's health and ability to heal, the problems must be approached appreciating the body as a single unit, every physiological system interconnected. One cannot treat the symptoms without first addressing the true underlying cause, and vice versa, especially if the cause is not structural or anatomical. The mind-body connection is key to understanding how we can achieve full control of our health."
This content was provided by Dr. Amaya "We focus on Prevention, Early Detection, and Ready Response. Our medical practice strives to provide the highest level of primary care and mindfulness medicine by having the expertise to address complex medical issues, as well as the time to get to know each patient personally. We believe every patient benefits by having a physician with the training and experience to be a "medical quarterback", coordinate care, anticipate problems, and respond to the first sign of an illness as promptly as possible. The majority of illnesses can be prevented by a consistently healthy lifestyle. Having a close relationship with a physician who allows easy access and communication has been shown to enhance an individual's ability to be in control of his or her health. Inherited risks and harmful past exposures can be compensated for by a good healthy lifestyle, and when they can't, a physician with the knowledge and time to help anticipate your problems is essential."
