Dr. Carren is easily the worst primary care doctor I have ever been to. I went to her for a physical where she insisted on putting me on a weight loss medication. I told her that I had a prior history of eating disorders, and she made some incredibly insensitive comments to me about my weight and my anxiety. It was extremely triggering for me. Her bedside manner is awful. The practice, on whole, seems more concerned with billing you than with patient care. Every time I asked for help refilling medications or prescribing something I needed, the office staff acted as though it was a huge burden for Dr. Carren. I have quite literally never been to a doctor that treats patients in this way. I found it incredibly frustrating and, frankly, traumatic. If I could give her 0 stars I would.

I wanted this doctor to be my new PCP, I came to her hoping she would coordinate with my psychiatrist and nutritionist regarding my eating disorder. Instead, she told me repeatedly that I was "the heaviest I have ever been" which is obviously why I was there. Then she took pictures of my stretch marks on her cell phone. And then she said did not believe in specialists which I am guessing is why she never responded to my email about connecting her with my psychiatrist and nutritionist. My nutritionist called her 3 times and never got a response. I will never see her again, absolutely horrific.

The best doctor in the world and she cares. When I was sick she called me at home to see how I was feeling. The only other doctor I know that did this was Marcus Welby MD

New York Life Insurance has been trying to receive one of her patients records since 12/6/19 for her client who has applied for insurance. The authorization form was faxed to doctors office along with mailing a check for the records. NY law states that a health care provider must furnish copies of patients records within a reasonable time. Its almost 30 days which seems to be unreasonable.

Cathy is amazing, but for office staff are horrible. I called to get a referral and when i spoke with the gentleman on the phone about it he seemed unhappy or frustrated and i asked if he was ok, if i should call back. he took my concern completely the wrong way and was rude and hung up on me. the office staff made it very difficult for me to get what i needed and were not helpful. its sad because cathy is so great but because of her staff i will definitely be switching PCP.

She is genuinely caring, sincere and meticulous - just what I would want in any doctor. I wouldn't want to put my health in the hands of unscrupulous or non-caring doctors.

Provides the best possible care and an on-going dedication to the practice of medicine at the highest levels of excellence. She is whip-smart, thorough, diligent and always up-to-date on medical issues/treatments. Consistently compassionate, dedicated, and respectful, while delivering an uncommonly high level of professional competence and razor-sharp clinical instincts. She is the epitome of the One Doctor approach to doctor-patient relationships which is increasingly rare. She's just the best.
