Dr. Casey Johnson did a wonderful job performing my cataract surgery. I would give him an A+ and his staff as well. Dr. Johnson monitors your recovery closely and sees you for all follow-up visits after surgery. This is not the case with all ophthalmologists. I chose to get the AcrySof IQ PanOptix Toric lenses, multifocal lenses which corrected my astigmatism and enabled me to see 20/20 without glasses for near, intermediate and distance vision. If you can afford these lenses, they are worth the extra money that Medicare does not cover. Welcome to the world of light and clarity! I now see white as white and not yellow. I knew my distance vision was no longer being corrected by prescription glasses, but I had no idea how affected my vision was regarding light and color. I have worn glasses/contacts since 9th grade and now the only glasses I wear are nonprescription sunglasses when I go outdoors. It's wonderful!! Thank you, Dr. Johnson and staff!!

I went to Dr. Johnson for many years until one day he gave me a prescription that was wildly different from my usual one. After two weeks I wasn't even able to read. He kept telling me to give it time. Finally, he deigned to get me in for a recheck. I waited two hours and ended up with the same script as I'd had before. He was unapologetic and said the problem was in my head--and laughed when he realized he'd said that out loud. The office stood by him and I was stuck with useless $350 glasses.

I have been seeing Dr Johnson for years with no issues, until today. I had the flu and missed an exam and received a bill for $25 because I missed the appointment. IF I had received a reminder call or a reminder post card I would pay the fee as I was sick and did not call to cancel. But since I wasn't aware of the appointment I refuse to pay a no show fee when they did not do their due diligence and remind me of an appt that was scheduled months ago. I will seek a new eye doctor for my business.
