I had been seeing Dr Marquis for 3 years and had a great relationship with him until recently. Several days after having an injection in my back (which I have had done before) I attempted to call his office. I was unable to get through to the nurse. Even though I called as soon as the office opened, I didn’t receive a call back that day. I called again the next morning and was told (again by the person answering the phone-who was not part of his actual office) that his note said I needed to wait 10-15 days for the shot to work. When the nurse finally called me back later in the day, I explained to her that I was not having any relief, which was unusual. I then waited another 24 hours and because I was in excruciating pain, I went to the ER. I was given an MRI and seen by a neurosurgeon, given some pain medication and an appointment to follow up. Because I was seen in the ER by another physician, He then refused to complete my FMLA paperwork. I will not be seeing him again!

It was 2 years ago and I had reoccurring pain in my shoulder ever since a torn rotator cuff many years previously. He was friendly, kind, courteous, and efficient. He explained that it was not "torn" again, but agitated. I got an injection, and had not further problems.

While personable, Dr. Marquis was unable to maintain his professionalism and composure, laughing raucously when his manipulation caused me pain. It was unsettling and I definitely did not feel as if this person was taking my case seriously. As expected, he stated that he could not help and offered to farm me out for more physical therapy.

I have seen Dr. Marquis several times. I have no complaints about his approach to me or to my pain issues. He has been proactive to my pain issues and helping me to get them resolved. I'm going to miss him as Cox is no longer accepting.Anthem Medi-Blue plus.

I scheduled an appointment for shoulder and hip pain. When he came in the room he said I don't have time to do both today. You need to pick which one you want me to check today. I said my hip hurts when I walk and my shoulder hurts anytime I move it. He said well I can't help it, which one is bothering you more. I said they both are. He said look man, I can't do both you have to pick. I also said I'm having trouble with my neck which he has treated before. He said well you've had it for 20 yrs.

He talked more about what my socks had on them then the problem. He told me I had no disc problems. He said try 3 more massages and if u still have pain, call him. I did the massages called him back 3 times. He then ok mri and guess what I had a bulging disc. Dr never called me and told me the results. I went and got them myself. Finally his nurse called me back and said he gave u two option and I said which one does dr recommend nurse said that's your two options, rude.
