Dr. Chapman was my very first surgeon ever in 2014. He was exceedingly kind, skilled and gentle, very sweet surgeon. Apart from his technical expertise in my flatfoot reconstruction surgery, his genuine fondness and concern for me imbued me with the strength and optimism to progress rapidly in a short 4-5 week recovery. I'm told that is unheard of in this type of surgery. I was literally running within 5 weeks. No pain. I was able to dance, climb rocks, do everything with my foot again. I needed no drugs after his surgery. I recently had flatfoot reconstruction on my other foot with another surgeon in 2020. This one is not recovering as well... I wish he were in NY so he could have done my other foot surgery. My current surgeon is nice but Dr Chapman was special. There was a particular warmth and compassion that emanated from him that was like a blanket that wraps around you to protect and honor you. I think we patients are blessed to have had him as our surgeon.

My experience with Dr Chapman was wonderful. I recently had Achilles surgery for a bone spur, Achilles tear and bursitis.. He took care of all of these issues. I never would have done it if it weren’t for Dr Chapman. I trusted him 100%. I am still in recovery 3 weeks post op but doing good. He did surgery on my sons Achilles a year ago with great success as well. I highly recommend and am so thankful I learned of Dr Chapman for both my son and myself.

Last April I suffered a terrible work injury in which my left foot was severely damaged. I visited Dr. Chapman at the referral of my orthopedic doctor. From the beginning Dr. Chapman was empathetic, thorough, and thoughtful. I had one major surgery and two follow-up procedures on my foot. Dr. Chapman was excellent through it all. He took the time to explain every step of the process throughout my treatment. I was fearful I would never walk again and I am thankful I was able to find such an outstanding surgeon.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about both Dr. Chapman, as well as his team. I never had an issue getting an appointment. I was never there for a long time. And everyone was friendly and helpful. As far as Dr. Chapman, he was friendly, professional, and knew what he was doing. He diagnosed me, gave me the options, recommended the best option for me, and then executed the surgical procedure. I've healed fantastically, and it's like I was never injured in the first place. I highly recommend Dr. Chapman and his practice.

I saw Dr. Chapman for a cartridge tear in my left ankle that had caused further complications. As a dancer transitioning into the professional world, it was important that I found a surgeon who would take care of the issue efficiently. I really enjoyed Dr. Chapman's care because he is knowledgeable and thorough in his diagnosis. It has been over a year since my surgery and my ankle is the best it has ever been!

Dr. Chapman is patient, thorough and has been conservative with treatment (which I appreciate). He listens to everything I have to say and does not make me feel like he is trying to rush out of the room. He has offered alternative ideas regarding my ankle problem. Ultimately, after exhausting all alternatives I do need surgery so I will follow up after I heal.

Dr. Chapman is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon who I would recommend for any lower extremity needs. He takes time to explain conditions and procedures without any ‘attitude ‘. He and his office staff are extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. An awesome overall experience, and I’ve seen many orthopedic surgeons ??

After seeing a podiatrist & 2 top surgeons (Manhattan) it was found I had a 50% tear in my Achilles tendon.I hadn't been able to walk, go down stairs, and at times, sleep. In addition, having twin 5 year old girls, it was difficult for me to engage in any activities with them.I'm 61 years old & was told (because of my age) that rehab wouldn't help & I needed surgery.I then saw Dr. Chapman, who recommended a boot, heel lifts and 3 months of PT.I'm fine now! I highly recommend Dr. Chapman.

Dr. Chapman did a wonderful job repairing a ruptured tendon to my big toe. He also had to shave a significant bone spur/spike that had caused the rupture. I now have a small scar and complete use of my foot -- considering how much I walk, that's a major accomplishment. And, unlike the stereotypic surgeon, he has a pleasant, friendly "foot side" manner.

Last June I fell five feet straight drop and broke my ankle, as I was down touched my foot no feelings, it was separated from my leg, I held my foot with my hand tight to my leg and held my leg with my arm, as I hopped 10 feet upstairs with my good leg, holding the rail with my other hand. I was taken to Richmond U Medical Center, where Dr. Cary B. Chapman performed surgery, four month later I can walk, run, with only occasional minor pain. Dr. Cary B. Chapman is a GENIUS!!!

We met with Dr. Chapman and found him to be caviler & uncaring. He prescribed a "boot" be worn on my son's right foot for 6-weeks to stabilize a condition that he could not identify or diagnose. The condition became worse after wearing the boot. When we returned to the office, he laughed and said..."oh you really wore the boot? Most of my patients don't even wear it" This guy is arrogant, uninformed and destined for a series of malpractice law suits over the course of less than shining career.

Dr. Chapman and his staff were absolutely fantastic to me during the whole time of my treatment, before, during and after my operation. He eased my fears and was very kind which I so appreciated. Even three years later when I need a follow up exam for a minor problem, they remembered me and took great care of me. I would highly recommend Dr. Chapman!

Dr. Chapman is a personable and caring doctor who listens well. I like his personality very much.He places more emphasis on patient care than patient payment. His staff is very attentive and professional. After having surgery on November 20, 2015, he has continued to provide excellent after care. I would definitely recommend him to others.
