She completed her residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Johnston is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been practicing in Jacksonville since 1990. Dr. Johnston has been involved in the community including serving on the Onslow County Health Board, the Onslow Memorial Foundation Board, and the Sponsors for Academic Talent Board. She is currently serving the community as a trustee on the Onslow Memorial Hospital Board. Dr. Johnston is married to Dr. Scott Johnston and has three children."

Highly recommend Dr Johnston and her practice after being a patient for over 15 years. Just had cataract surgery and I am extremely satisfied with the overall care from Dr Johnston and her office technicians and other staff.
