He is a Dr. not your friend and as with most Dr. offices these days. Yes you wait and wait and wait. Name one General practice Dr. they take you right away. I have been with Dr. Scalia for over a decade since my 30's. When I had no insurance he still saw me for a very modest fee. He has always had my best interests at heart. Is he the most outgoing Dr. .. no but that's not what he is seeing you for, he is seeing you to help make you better and who couldn't be better at calling people back ??

More of a no nonsense guy, very thorough. Comes off a little distant at first, seems to really care and genuine.

The office staff was nice enough when I was there. Later, in order to get more information in order to cover my specific issue, my insurance company wanted to speak with the doctor. After many calls, the doctor still hadn't spoken with them. When I eventually tried to resolve this in person, I made an appointment to speak with the doctor in person, but he would not speak with me about it. I got very frustrated, but there was nothing more I could do, so I found another doctor.

ALWAYS Kept waiting 30-50 minutes (even 1st appt of the day) Office front and back and the furniture is filthy. They go through office staff every 2 mos. The staff is very unhappy. Dr S has no interest in listening and could care less. Its obvious that this business model is to stuff as many people into their day as possible. I don't understand how he has 2 stars. RUN AWAY!!!!

If you are looking for a doctor who listens & genuinely cares, Scalia is not a good choice.

I am having a horrible experience with Dr. Scalia. My 89 year old mother is in a rehab because she broke her hip. The hip will heal but she has lost all cognitive ability. I need her evaluated, tested, looked at by a doctor. I keep calling Dr. Scalia but he won't return my calls. My mother cannot go back home because she can't function now, even if her hip does heal and I can' get anyone to talk to me about it.
