Compassionate
I can honestly say that I have never met a doctor with such compassion for patients. Dr. Wang-Kocik listens to you and thoroughly explains everything in a way that you can understand. She’s such an amazing doctor and I feel very blessed to have her as my doctor.
I was examined and treated by Dr. Carla Kocik for my sleep disorder. She was very attentive, kind and explained my treatment plan very well. Her diagnosis of my sleep apnea was spot on and her prescription of a CPAP is successfully treating my disorder. Thank you for your patience and kindness. Wonderful experience.
Very grateful with Dr. Kocik for making my husband breath better. It was becoming very concerning and I knew this was not going to end up good. We met Dr. Kocik who took the time to listen and give us the right treatment.
I was pretty concerned when I went in, but boy was I bowled over with her manor and personality . She was unbelievably kind and concerned about me, and she spent all the time I could ever want, even had time for me to tell her a little joke. Boy what a great woman.
God’s angels work Christmas Eve. Dr. WK was working the evening my dad went into shock, suffered a cardiac arrest and was on machines to live. I felt it was all over. She came to talk to me and my family, she Saved his life. My dad will spend one more and hopefully many more Christmas with us. Thank you Dr. WK.
Dr. Wang-Kocik changed our lives on Nov. 8th. It could have been a disaster. My dad had septic shock due to a pneumonia. We are extremely grateful to have met her in the ICU. She told us what the next days will look like. Today my dad is home with us after being on life support. Thank you Dr. WK. Very Thankful for excellent medicine!
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Wang-Kocik to anyone needing a pulmonologist. In addition to her knowledge and expertise, she is a very caring and compassionate physician.

I’m a true believer in angels. I was able to meet one today when I felt extremely distressed with many bad news about my health. Dr. CWK was able to explain to me what was going on with my body. She used words I could understand and her call voice made me feel full of hope. I’m glad I met her. I now have hope that no matter what GOD has in his plans, one of his angels is taking care of me. We are so blessed to have Dr. Wang as our grandpas doctor. We decided to pick her as our fathers doctor too,because she has been so kind and straightforward with us about our grandpas health condition, and makes him feel welcoming and informed about his condition and treatment options in his doctor appointments. He has shown so much progress at the age of 94. My dad is currently seeing her because she is monitoring his lungs. My dad trust and feels comfortable in having her as his pulmonologist
She was extremely insightful during this very difficult time. He was on a lot of medications and even though he could look at us and could answer simple questions he was in no way coherent enough to make decisions. Approaching end of life decisions is never an easy topic but she eased us into it and gave us time consider our options. She never seemed rushed and I always felt she understood what our family needed. We never looked back or questioned our decision because of her guidance. TY Dr.
Dr. Wang-Kocik did a poor job as my father's physician in the ICU at UT Health. We do not blame her for his death, we do blame her for failure in patient communications and in communicating care options. She left my father out of the discussions about his own treatment and prognosis despite his mind being sharp. Also, the day he took a sharp turn for the worse, she never talked with us about palliative care. She just wanted to run up the bill instead of letting him pass with dignity.
Words can not express the all the fabulous attributes of Dr. Wang-Kocik. She has helped me with my daddy as he was going through his cancer and when we found out he only had a few weeks left she told us point blank what to expect and what our options were. This is just what my family and I needed. She has so much compassion and empathy and is so caring and loving. I recommend her to everyone. If you want the best doctor that is straight forward and honest, she's your doctor.
Dr Wang-kocik was an angel in our lives. She helped my mother when she went into the ICU. It was one of the most distressing moments for our family, especially being close to Christmas. Dr Wang Kocik guided us through all the different stages of my mom’s hospital stay and managed to get her home and out of the unit. We are profoundly thankful.
