Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

Dr. Minutti's Care Philosophy

I see patients that have endocrine disorders, such as adrenal problems, puberty conditions, pediatric diabetes - either type 1 or type 2 - growth disorders. The vast majority of patients with diabetes are now using insulin pumps. Having an insulin pump, it's much easier for them to have flexibility in their meals. If they attend a birthday party, if they're going to have different activities, we can change their insulin doses by the hour, and that allows them a much more flexible lifestyle. Any time we see a patient - whether it's in clinic or in the hospital - and we see that we have contributed to make his or her life better - even in a very small way - it is very rewarding.
