Care Philosophy

My goal is to get patients back to doing what they love most, so they can "enjoy every movement". I love it when patients are involved in their own health care decisions and recovery. It can be difficult to navigate the complex healthcare environment as a patient. I believe it is important for patients to be aware of the specialty, and subspecialty, interests and abilities of their treating physician, so they receive the highest quality of care possible. www.wmortho.netRead more

Professional and informative. It was easy to been seen in his office and the options were discussed with careful planning. The surgery was quick and recovery has been right in line with what was discussed. My post op pain was minimal and I look forward to being back to normal soon.

Dr. Wierks says...

My focus is on sports medicine, or injuries in active people. I have a sub-specialty interest in hip injuries, and offer surgical and non-surgical treatment options. The surgical treatment option can be a hip arthroscopy, which is a minimally invasive, highly specialized surgery to treat labral tears, FAI, or cartilage injuries of the hip. Osteoarthritis is often better treated with hip replacement.

Dr. Wierks says...

  • Hip arthroscopy: a specialized, minimally invasive approach to treat labral tears, FAI, or cartilage injuries of the hip
  • All inside ACL reconstruction:A minimally invasive approach to ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) tears
