This content was provided by Dr. Haughey "Dr. Haughey's care philosophy is that the patient, the doctor and the doctor's staff are a team, who "gang up" on the disease to eliminate it, if at all possible.
Input is welcomed from all team members, including the patient's family members and others the patient chooses to involve.
The Dr. is an expert in the diseases treated and the patient is an expert in themselves, and their own symptoms/experience of the disease. Both expert elements are critical to winning the battle.
Dr. Haughey is also acutely aware of the pain, anxiety, grief and suffering that disease may bring about, and feels privileged that his patients allow him to accompany them through this experience. All possible alleviation is offered.
Each day, he places himself in the hands of the GREAT Physician for wisdom and skill. "
