I had a visit to the ER and was told to call his office immediately I did so then went to my appointment he didnt even leave his seat. Then proceeded to continue not to do anything then pushed me off on another doctor instead of doing his job.

Very personable and informative. Didn’t recommend a surgery that he felt was unnecessary at this time.

Dr. Andersen explains his view of the MRI results and possible course of treatment very well. He had done a surgery on my lower back laminectomy and I had recovered well. I still have pain in my hip and leg after 2 rounds of PT he did another MRI now I may need another surgery to fuse disks. I trust his course of treatment is valid. I do apricate his conservative approach to treatment.

Dr. Andersen is an extraordinary doctor and neurosurgeon. He treated my wife and we both could not be any more pleased. He is very thorough and for a very tenured specialist, he spent the time needed with my wife and I. Dr. Andersen's PA was exceptional as well. We had to wait for an hour and a half to be seen on a follow-up visit though. That was a staff error, NOT the care providers fault! That was a bit of a bummer.

Dr. Anderson provided a full explanation of my MRI results along with recommendations for continued nerve damage recovery. He was delightful to talk with and ensured a follow up visit as may be needed.

He was VERY arrogant and condescending during my visit. He blatantly discounted the results of the MRI and basically, I felt, discounted the level of pain I have been experiencing. If he reviewed my test results and notes, and felt a visit was not warranted, then why did he still choose to see me. I have never encountered a more arrogant and unfeeling physician. I think it's time he retires. This was not a pleasant experience!

I had surgery to remove a growth in my brain. Only a small portion of the growth was removed. 2 weeks later I was told that it was cancer and referred to another facility for treatment. That doctor wasn’t comfortable with the suggested treatment and referred me to a third doctor. That doctor studied the pathology reports and none of them said anything about it being cancer. He also said the surgery wasn’t necessary. I have had no treatment. 3 years later with yearly MRIs all is well.

I highly recommend Dr Andersen. I am an Air Force Veteran who is privileged and proud to receive all medical care at the Boise VA Hospital. Unfortunately they do not have a neurosurgeon at this location, so the VA referred me out for community care to a doctor of my choice. Fantastic, right? Except my case was rejected by Neuroscience Associates and others. Dr Andersen was nice enough to take my case and answer all my questions. He did a physical exam, not just an MRI review. Much obliged, Dr A

Dr. Andersen took on some fairly complicated surgery on my back that was causing me significant problems. He explained clearly what he felt had to be done and why. He made what was a scary time less so. Brian Hart his PA is a great person to work with. All of the office staff have always been very pleasant to deal with

I was diagnosed with NPH and was having difficulty walking,( shuffling of feet), maintaining my balance, etc., and Dr Andersen diagnosed my CSF as not draining properly. He "installed" a shunt in my head to regulate the drainage and the results have been wonderful. I now pick up my feet when I walk , more balanced, short term memory is improving, etc.. His office staff is top notch and I would recommend Dr. Andersen to anyone, looking for a Neurologist.

Dr Andersen did a lumbar laminectomy on my lower back to relieve pressure and pain causing great difficulty in walking or standing. The surgery was a huge success! Dr Andersen took time with my questions prior to surgery and explained the procedure in terms I could understand. I had great confidence in him from the first office visit. The entire staff treated me with respect and caring. Always courteous and understanding.

I was diagnosed with chiari last year. Anderson did notice a mistake on the radiology report on my MRI that made me a surgical canidate. However it went down hill quick from there. He had no patience or bedside manner to explain the peocedure to myself or my family. He refused testing for commonly connected conditions that cause complications, put me on ibuprofen 5 days after brain surgery and has refused to do any follow up care ( even though I got a csf leak) he left me fighting for my life
