I had my second injection about 2 months ago. I have felt great. I was so close to having surgery, but not needed anymore. If my pain stays as little as it is now, I don't have to have spinal surgery. Highly recommend.

Zero stars is more like it. I wonder how much these people were paid for their five star reviews because they are simply unbelievable. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with anyone who claims to be a medical professional. First of all let me start out by saying I was not asking for any meds. I simply wanted an evaluation. He recommended surgery in my first visit. It turned out that my problem was actually small fiber neuropathy from a B12 deficiency. Another competent doctor figured that out. Weaver (I’m not even going to call him a doctor ) was so verbally abusive to me I have PTSD and I am afraid to even go to the doctor now. This man has a personality disorder. He & his staff shouldn’t be anywhere near sick people. All these people who are giving him good reviews obviously didn’t see the same person I did. Maybe he is a Jekyll and Hyde. Dr. Hodel also claimed to be a doctor. Beware. He should lose his medical license immediately.

I have been seeing Dr. Weaver for about 5 years or more. He is kind and compassionate, his epidural injections are not painful. Ron his PA is terrific. He listens and is responsive to my concerns. I have given Dr. Weaver a 3 due to his rude receptionist. Yesterday I had an appointment with the PA and she told that I am self-pay and I needed to pay them $239. (I live in Hampton and it’s a 30min drive). When I questioned her about it she told me they did not accept my insurance. I have had 2 previous appointments this year and have only paid the copay of $35. I have had a Medicare advantage plan for the past 3 years and was aware they do not accept any Medicare advantage plans but they have always submitted claims and accepted my copay. When I tried to get an explanation of what has changed I kept getting the same answer. It was like banging my head against a brick wall. Every time I deal with this receptionist she is rude and doesn’t listen or try to resolve problems.

Referral from EVMS Internal Medicine, (CC Sent). Initial meeting was very brief, very little history interest, albeit extensive, and the obligatory handshake was complete. After a urine screen and background check, I was prescribed the same minimal dose of tramadol I had taken for over ten years, and assigned to the PA or NP (gatekeeper). Provided with a three month Rx and out the door. All went well for several months until I had to travel to Costa Rica and then Mexico. I cancelled my appointments until I returned and since tramadol is an OTC medication in both countries I did not need to or was it practical to visit the Norfolk offices until my return to the country. Upon return I promptly made an appointment, disclosed the situation and consented to a urine screen, and resummed Rx tramadol and when my next was due, the staff wrote the date wrong on the reminder card, two days late. When I called to confirm my appt I was told not to come back, dropped verbally, no written exp.

I have been suffering with back pain for many years. I was going to another pain clinic in Portsmouth, but they closed last month. I was referred to Dr. Weaver for an epidural injection to see if that would help with my pain. My back feels great now!!! I wish I had found him sooner. He talked to me the entire time and explained everything that he was doing. Very comforting. I felt a little pressure, but overall had a great experience. I would highly recommend him for an injection.

Excellent first visit and treatment. Office staff courteous and professional. Received personal phone call from Dr Weaver the day before visit to answer any questions about procedure. Dr Weaver was polite and engaging. He had thoroughly reviewed my healthcare info prior to entering exam room. He was professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and exhibited great skill when performing the epidural. As a healthcare professional myself, I recommend Dr Weaver without hesitation. Terry P. Painless Injection!!! My neurosurgeon recommended an injection into my spine. I was sooooo nervous. Surprisingly, Dr. Weaver called the afternoon before HIMSELF!!! This was very reassuring. I had the injection and can't believe I was nervous and waited so long to get. I am so happy now.

Rudest, worse doctor I have ever experienced. He has the worst bedside manners imaginable and is completely incompetent. The only place I recommend seeing him is visiting him in jail. Absolutely horrible and should lose his license.

Thank-you Dr. Weaver!! I had a wonderful experience. I am doing so much better. I still have some pain occasionally, but I feel a lot better. We found a good combination of medicines and an occasional injection, but I am a lot better. It looks like the negative reviews are from people who didn't get the narcotics that they wanted, and they are upset. I would highly recommend. Thank-you Dr. Weaver!!!

He is an excellent physician who has given me pain injections in the past and I have always had good results. I think that some of the people who have complained have unrealistic expectations from this process. I have always found him to be courteous and professional and he has always taken the time to answer my questions.

I had a wonderful experience. I have been to doctors in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Dr. Weaver was the only doctor to listen to me. He figured out that my headaches were actually coming from a pinched nerve in my neck. I have done so much better since he gave me some injections. I wish I had found Dr. Weaver sooner.

I LOVE Dr. Weaver!!! He has helped me so much. I feel so much better and am actually able to spend time with my family instead of them going out without me. Thanks so much!!! P.S. I initially ready some of the negative reviews at first and was hesitant, but it looks like the negative reviews are from people wanting more drugs. It looks like they got upset when he wouldn't give them more drugs. Good for Dr. Weaver. I am so glad that I found him!!!! Thank-you Dr. Weaver!!!

Cannot recommend Dr. Brian Weaver as a pain management physician. I had never been to a pain management specialist or ever been treated so disrespectfully & insulted by a physician as I was almost 5 weeks post op from an extensive back surgery. I was lectured & treated as though I was an opioid abusers. Very disappointed. Highly recommend seeking your pain needs elsewhere.

Wow. It took almost 8 weeks for me to get in for an injection and now I know why. I feel great now!!! I had injections at another pain clinic (that I will not name), but none of them worked as well as Dr. Weaver's. He talked to me the entire time and before I knew it, it was over. I feel so much better and so happy that I waited too see him. I saw someone else leave upset because Dr. Weaver wouldn't give him as much narcotics as they wanted. I am so happy I found Dr. Weaver. Thanks!!!

My experience with Dr. Weaver has been exceptional. He is very friendly, listens to all my complaints and questions with compassion, takes time to explain his procedures, and most importantly, his treatments of my condition have been a great success! I have seen Dr. Weaver three times. On each of those occasions, he has explained exactly what he would be doing. My back has gotten progressively better and he is very good re the interactions with my other physician re my condition. He takes time to listen to my concerns and is especially good at what he hopes to achieve with the treatment.
