We only had an initial visit so we aren't sure if it was just a bad day for the doctor. We all have them. He was very nice but seemed in quite a rush to get through with our initial appointment. In fact, when he left the room and returned, he never sat back down. We were also there on time but waited about 30 min. to be seen. We ended up getting a second opinion with another oncologist who not only seemed less hurried but didn't believe as much gen. testing and scans was needed.

Dr. Shimkus has been my Oncologist now for over 10 years. He is very knowledgeable, personable and is truly interested in each and every patient. Both my husband and I agree that Dr. Shimkus is the best!
