As an Internist, Dr. Meyerhoff is able to address the full spectrum of adult health issues, from wellness and prevention, to management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, to pulmonary medicine, urology, gynecology, gastroenterology and infectious diseases. Dr. Meyerhoff received his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 1983 from Cal State Northridge, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. More than thirty years of experience has taught Dr. Meyerhoff that the key to quality care is to view each patient in terms of his or her distinct and individual needs. He believes that a range of factors—emotional, psychological, among many others—can impact a patient's health. He places a high value on the doctor-patient relationship. "In this career I'm constantly stimulated. I can think of no other field where a person has the opportunity to enjoy his or her work and really help people at the same time.""
