I had a surgery to remove an os trigonum bone from my ankle done by another podiatrist and had a really bad experience with them. I switched to Dr. Harley‘a practice when I had continuing complications and had a completely different experience. Dr. Harley and his team are amazing. He has amazing bed side manner and explains things to you in ways that are so easy to understand. Jenny, Matt, and the rest of the team are all very friendly and willing to help. Dr. Harley performed my second surgery in May of this year to remove scar tissue, lengthen my Achilles’ tendon, and stabilize my ankle and this is the best that my ankle has felt in years. He also gives you his personal cell number following surgery and is very easy to get in touch with if you have any questions or complications. I never felt stupid or wrong for calling when I had a problem. I will always recommend him to anyone who has foot or ankle problems.

Dr Harley performed a total joint replacement on my big toe. The results are wonderful and I am now without pain and it has only been three months since the surgery. He and his staff are the best, taking time to explain everything to you and what you should expect. Dr Harley even gives you his cell number if you need him after your surgery.

Dr. Harley is kind, compassionate, thorough, and took great care of me and my busted ankle. I dislocated my ankle and tore 3 ligaments and a tendon playing tennis in early March, had surgery in April, and was on the mend quickly thereafter. Even during the height of the COVID crisis, when appointments and procedures were being pushed, rescheduled, even cancelled, Dr. Harley went above and beyond to make sure that I was evaluated and treated promptly and completely. He was available via phone and video call when normal appointments were difficult to come by. His staff is so friendly, helpful, and responsive, and his bedside manner is top notch. I will continue to recommend him to anyone that asks. Thanks Dr. Harley for literally getting me back on my feet! :)

Dr.Brian Harley is absolutely one of the best surgeons I have ever met. I came in with a severe deformity on my right foot, and lots of pain. He made a treatment plan for me and explained every step with me. I was very comfortable. I am under financial assistance and without Dr. Harley and his amazing team with him I would still be in pain. He truly has improved my quality of life. I 100% reccomend him!!!

I would not hesitate recommending Dr. Harley to my family and friends. He is conservative in his approach and is definitely not “knife happy”. He listens and allows me to have a voice into my treatment. I have already recommended him to a good friend who has his initial appointment made.

Fantastic!!! If it's your foot, see a podiatrist - not an orthopedist. I had the Cartiva implant installed by another physician and after 1 year and being dismissed by that physician, I sought help when my other foot began to experience the same pain in the big toe (hallux rigidus). After an x-ray, Dr. Harley said I was not a good candidate for Cartiva and we would use a different implant. We installed the new device on my right foot (no previous surgery) and things went great. I had little swelling and the cold boot device prescribed was just awesome (far more convenient than an ice pack). After a couple of months we went back and revised the foot with the Cartiva implant. I saw the pictures, the implant was installed too deep and the bone grew over it. Again, there was little swelling (NOTHING like the Cartiva surgery). I have been far more ambulatory with both surgeries performed by Dr. Harley than I ever was with the previous surgery performed by an orthopedic surgeon.

Best foot surgeon out there! 2 other surgeons couldn’t/wouldn’t even touch the surgery needed on my foot. Dr. Harley was amazing! He explained exactly what was going to happen before, during and after the surgery in simple terms so I could understand. He is a kind, caring, dr. who lets you text him personally and answers your questions quickly. This talented and smart dr. used Zip ties instead of stitches for more efficient healing, and less pain;so cool! Hardly a wait and never fell rushed during post visits. 5 stars is not enough for D. I had an unfortunate, terrible dismount off of a horse in June 2019. I immediately went to Resurgens Orthopedics for an X-Ray and it was determined to be a very bad sprain. Fast forward many months of pain and an MRI later I decided to seek a second opinion regarding surgery on my ankle. I was so relieved to speak with Dr. Harley and have him tell me a confident YES you need surgery, create a plan and make me feel like my athletic goals were as important to him as they were to me. It was refreshing and confidence boosting. I am now 4 months post surgery, pain-free, back to running and riding and I only wish I hadn't waited 9 long months before getting a second opinion. I am so grateful to Dr. Harley for his gifts of time and talent in my particular case. I would (and have!) recommended him to many others with ankle/foot issues. If you are out of hope, don't be! Thank you so much Dr. Harley!

He took my case over after some serious complications had occurred and without Dr. Harley's expertise, knowledge, and caring, I would not be healing today. He and his staff are the compassionate , kind, caring individuals and always go above and beyond expectations. Dr. Harley is always available to his patients and is quick to respond to texts and calls. Without him, I may never have never walked again. I thank the Lord for him everyday .

I found Dr. Harley on the Move Right Ankle website referral. My situation required a full ankle replacement. Dr Harley was informative and honest on every aspect of the surgery. He is professional but , thoughtful. He and his staff were some of the best people I have ever dealt with in the medical profession. The surgery was an absolute success with less pain than expected for that major of a surgery and my recovery was way ahead of schedule. All through the process he was available for questions answering all of my texts even during a holiday week. Today 4 months later I am pain free and with fantastic mobility able to do things I haven't done for years.

Dr. Harley is not only a talented surgeon, but also a great advocate for patient health and wellness. He and his staff are exceptional and I'm very pleased with my surgery, followups, etc. Not gonna lie- foot surgery is no joke. We do so take our feet for granted. Dr. Harley was careful to explain the problem, the solution and what to expect after. I highly recommend him!

Dr Harley is patient, understanding and genuine. He listens and takes time to explain everything with you. I feel comfortable with him. Dr. Harley definitely cares and shows compassion for my health. My situation was that I had several clogged sweat glands on the sole of each of my feet. One of the clogged sweat glands, under my left foot, was very painful (10 on a 10 scale) and pretty stubborn. Dr Harley aggressively treated my problem during office visits and prescribed me a compound solution medication to apply nightly, thus avoiding further surgery. My clogged sweat glands, especially the stubborn one, have been cured. The staff played a big role. Dr. Harley staff members are very courteous, friendly, respectful, responsive and helpful. I will highly recommend Dr. Harley to anyone.

I have full respect and TRUST in Dr. Brian S. Harley! I am an active ( but not “fit”) 66 year old petite woman who was introduced to Dr. Harley via Northside Forsyth Hospital ER after fracturing my “fifth metatarsal” foot bone (“soccer player” fracture) when I fell with my foot trapped in the falling ladder, installing a bracket into a 9 foot high ceiling beam at home. I share to emphasize the severity of my foot fracture coupled with age related bone loss and less than athlete baseline. Dr. Harley took all of this into consideration and still gave me the option of avoiding surgery (50% chance) if I demonstrated “due diligence” at NON WEIGHT BEARING until re-evaluation 6 weeks later. Difficult as I live in a 3 level condo. But I did as he said, in part by purchasing one of those “knee riders” ( make sure you get one with brakes!) and made it to full recovery WITHOUT SURGERY! Same no surgical results recently for a badly embedded in grown toenail (per accidental traumatic toenail ).

Review From the very first phone call I made to the office to the very last post-op appointment, I received excellent care and attention from Dr. Brian Harley and his entire staff! Dr. Harley never once rushed our time together and he listened to me with full attention and concern every visit. My surgery went flawlessly and Dr. Harley advice and recommendations were spot on every time. The staff is just as amazing as he is.

Dr.Harley did a total ankle replacement. He had been recommended to me by someone very satisfied with their experience. In my meetings with him before the surgery he was very open and descriptive of the procedure and aftercare. He answered all of my questions and i had no doubt he was highly competent. His competency changed my lifestyle to where i am much more mobile than before the surgery. His staff is courteous, professional and accommodating.

I came into Dr. Harley’s care through a second opinion. I was being treated for a foot fracture that was still painful. After examination, he sent me immediately for a MRI which revealed multiple fractures. He was very thorough with explaining my options and possibilities of the various corrective surgeries. He really took into consideration of me having 2 small children with the surgical options. He helped me make the best decision for surgery and now I’m running after my children again! He is a top notch physician and really listens and cares for his patients. Not to mention, his office staff is PHENOMENAL!
